Donors

At Family Services, we greatly appreciate the generosity of donors who support our mission to help those in need. If you are considering making a donation, here’s some information on the types of donations we accept and our procedures:

We welcome various forms of donations to support our cause. For financial contributions, we accept cheques and cash. Your monetary donations go a long way in helping us provide essential services to individuals and families facing challenges in our community.

In addition to monetary support, we also accept food items, including fresh and frozen items within their expiry or best-before dates. These food donations are particularly crucial in helping us maintain our Foodbank and ensure that those in need have access to nutritious meals.

Moreover, during the period from October to December each year, we gladly accept donations of new toys. These toys are an integral part of our efforts to bring joy and happiness to children and families during the holiday season.

For donors making financial contributions of $20 or more, we issue official tax receipts. These receipts are generally mailed out in January for all donations received or postmarked by December 31 of the previous year. This allows you to claim the eligible tax deduction for your generous support.

Your donations make a significant impact in the lives of those we serve, and we are truly grateful for your willingness to contribute. With your help, we can continue providing much-needed assistance and support to our community members who are experiencing hardships.

If you have any questions about making a donation or would like to know more about the impact of your contribution, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. We are always available to provide further information and to express our gratitude for your support. Together, we can make a positive difference in the lives of those who need it most.
